Camrose Family Resource Centre
As part of the Camrose & Area Family Resource Network we are dedicated to helping families by offering free programs, supports and services for parents and caregivers with children 0-18 years of age.
Start With Strong Families
We offer programs, as well as support and services to families within the City of Camrose, and the Counties of Camrose, Flagstaff and Beaver.
Our three domains of service delivery are:
- Child Development & Well-Being
- Caregiver Capacity Building & Support
- Social Connections and Support
These are based on the Well-Being and Resiliency Framework that has been adopted by the Ministry of Children's Services.
Programs & Supports
Parent Education
Supporting parents/caregivers to be more effective in caring for children (0-18). Promoting the use of positive parenting practices such as positive language, family routines and increasing knowledge of child development and communication styles.
Family Programs & Family Events
Our registered and drop-in programs are available for free to families with children of all age groups and run at various times and dates throughout the year.
Developmental Screening
We provide access to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire 3 (ASQ 3), and the Ages and Stages Social Emotional Questionnaire (ASQ SE 2). This questionnaire helps parents complete a 'developmental' snapshot of their child.
Rural Service Delivery
With support from community agencies, we are able to meet families in their own communities and provide service locally. All services extend to all families in the counties of Camrose, Beaver and Flagstaff. Designated staff support these areas on a weekly basis.
Support Services
Families can access information and resources for their children, family or their community. Support is led by the parents and at their pace. It could be as simple as filling out a form or navigating a complicated referral process. It is individually tailored to the family.

0-18 Coalition
The 0-18 Coalition offers agencies and staff the opportunity to connect and share information. Several working groups have developed from these meetings, and continue to have agencies collaborating on similar projects.
