Senior's CHOICES

Senior's CHOICES is a comprehensive program, available to residents of the City of Camrose, Camrose County, and the County of Flagstaff, that enhances the well-being of seniors facing health challenges, loneliness and social isolation.

Specially trained volunteers connect clients to essential community services and resources while offering steadfast and compassionate support.

Our Volunteers Can Help

Compassionate care in seniors Homes that provide them with Opportunities to maintain their Independence while Connecting and Engaging them with resources and Services.

Yard Care

Our volunteers are able to complete lawn mowing, weeding, and general upkeep to keep your outdoor spaces looking neat and well-maintained.

Household Maintenance

Services include minor repairs, general upkeep, and simple redecoration tasks to keep your home safe, functional, and comfortable.

Transportation

Through Drive Happiness volunteer drivers can drive you to various appointments like medical, shopping, banking, programing, and to visit friends or family.

Errands & Grocery Pick-Up

Our team can run errands for you, including picking up groceries or household products, saving you time and effort.

Snow Removal

Our team is well equipped to keep your sidewalks & driveways clear of ice & snow; increasing your access to public spaces and clearing paths for essential in-home supports.

Qualification & Rates

This program serves older adults (55+) in the City of Camrose, Camrose County and County of Flagstaff. Qualifying is based on Line 15000 of your previous year's Income Tax Return. The income cut off is:

  • $30,000 for single occupant households
  • $50,000 for double occupancy households

For those that qualify the services offered are free of charge.

If you do not qualify for services under this program we are able to offer some of the same services through our HomeMaker Services at affordable prices.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Age Well at Home Initiative.

How It Works

Here's what typically happens after you contact us:

  1. Our team will refer you to the Volunteer Coordinator, who will assist you in starting the process.
  2. An intake form will be provided to help us understand your specific needs and expectations.
  3. The Volunteer Coordinator will schedule the initial service appointment.
  4. Our Maintenance Coordinator or Senior's CHOICES volunteer will carry out the initial service as planned.
  5. If you require recurring or additional services, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule them.
