At HomeMaker Services, our dedicated HomeMakers are here to assist you with a variety of tasks to make your life easier and more enjoyable.

Cleaning

From the kitchen to the bedroom, every main living area is carefully cleaned for a comfortable and fresh living space.

Laundry Assistance

Clothes and linens are washed in the comfort of your home, apartment or suite, using your own supplies and machines.

Errands & Grocery Pick-Up

Save time and effort with while we run errands for you, such as picking up groceries or household products.

Seasonal Cleaning

Maintain a clean and organized home environment with our seasonal cleaning services, designed to tackle tasks done once or twice a year in addition to regular cleaning.

Move-Out Cleaning

Ease your transition by having us clean your home, apartment, or suite, ensuring a fresh and welcoming space, whether you're moving in or moving out.

Client Support

Receive the assistance and support you need with household tasks, as we provide dedicated help tailored to your unique needs.

How It Works

Getting started with HomeMaker Services is easy! Here's what happens after you give us a call:

  1. We will schedule an appointment to visit your home, typically taking about 1 hour.
  2. During the visit, we'll discuss your needs and expectations, ensuring a clear understanding on both sides.
  3. A simple contract will be completed and signed by both parties, outlining the agreed-upon services and expectations.
  4. Following the assessment, a designated HomeMakers will be assigned to you, and an appointment will be scheduled for their first visit.
  5. Initial visits may take longer, depending on the amount of work required, but our goal is to level off service after the first month to maintain affordability while meeting your needs.

Rates & Payments

We believe in transparent pricing and flexible payment options to ensure that our services are accessible to everyone:

Hourly Rate

Our rates range from $18 to $23 per hour, depending on income level. Your hourly rate will be determined during the home assessment.

Your services are charged for the first hour and every ¼ hour after that.

Payments

We invoice monthly for the previous month of service and offer convenient payment options:

  • Automatic bank withdrawals
  • Pay in person, we accept: cash, cheques, debit, VISA and Mastercard
  • Pay over the phone, we accept: VISA and Mastercard
  • Or mail us a cheque

If your account is not paid for 3 months, we will stop services until such time it is paid.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans may change, so we ask for 1 working day's notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. This ensures that we can accommodate your needs and maintain efficient scheduling for all our clients. Discontinuation of services requires notification to the Older Adult Services Program Director.

Guidelines & Service Limitations

  • Staff are equipped to promptly respond to emergencies by contacting 911, police, or caregivers if necessary.
  • To ensure a safe environment, we kindly request that staff do not provide services in homes where smoking or alcohol/drug consumption is taking place. Should this situation arise, staff will respectfully exit the premises and notify the Older Adult Services Program Director.
  • We encourage open communication regarding safety concerns in your home. Please feel free to report any issues to our staff and/or the Older Adult Services Program Director.
  • Our services focus on specific tasks such as general cleaning and maintenance. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide personal care, ironing, or pet care.
  • While we do not offer transportation services, we are happy to assist you in making alternative arrangements for appointments or outings.
  • For specialized cleaning needs such as large-scale projects or pest control, we recommend seeking assistance from professional services.
  • Respite care is available during daytime hours from Monday to Friday, providing a supportive environment while respecting your independence for activities of daily living.
  • Our staff prioritize your comfort and safety. Clients may choose to manage personal care routines independently while our staff are present.
  • Clients are responsible for providing cleaning equipment and supplies. If assistance is needed, arrangements can be made through the Older Adult Services Program Director.
  • Please note that our service availability may vary based on working days, excluding holidays and weekends.
