Battle River Big Band
firstname.lastname@example.org Community Camrose DescriptionContact us through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pg/Battle-River-Big-Band-1332548700142450/about/If you like toe-tapping jazz tunes from the early ’30s and on, delivered in a brassy blast, you’ll get what you came for with this energetic group. This 18-piece band shows up with all of the old favourites in tune, and peppers some contemporary favourites in every gig.
Started in 2015, Battle River Big Band is primarily comprised of band and music teachers, and seasoned musicians, living in the communities in and around Camrose and Wetaskiwin. As the Battle River runs through or near these centres, the name suits this band to a tee.
The band has performed in Camrose at the Bailey Theatre, and downtown during Jaywalkers’ Jamboree. Their next performance will take place on May 13 in Wetaskiwin, at the First United Church.
