The Camrose Police Service has a School Resource Officer Program (SRO). The SRO program provides a uniformed police presence that is active in all 10 of our community schools. The SRO is a great resource for schools, students and parents that want to keep their children safe and healthy. Camrose Police is proud to offer a brand new program called The CORE program that explores how safe and healthy youth become a safe and healthy core of the community.

Sahakarini helps the poorest of the poor in developing countries to help themselves improve their quality of life. We do this by working together with project partners in the receiving country on programs in education, health, economic and community development. The emphasis is on initiatives and improvements which can become self-sustaining and will foster the development of women and girls. Check us out on Facebook – Sahakarini.

Description
The S.O.S. program informs, empowers and connects seniors to new and existing programs, services and resources at the federal, provincial and local level. Our goal is to bridge the communication/ service gap that currently exists between seniors and government programming and services. The S.O.S. program offers presentations on topics of interest to seniors and hosts seminars with information provided by community partners in both the public and private sector. We collaborate with the Canada Revenue Agency to provide a free tax filing service that continues throughout the year. S.O.S. aids in the completion of paperwork for seniors applying for programming, aiding applicants in negotiating criteria for different and sometimes competing services, referring clients to other local organizations to meet their specific needs, linking them with clubs or service organizations. We provide support for seniors seeking access to housing and transportation. We aid clients in understanding their options; troubleshooting or brainstorming about their choices and supporting them in their decision making.
