Intimate partner violence education/counselling groups are for adults who have experienced any form of abusive behaviour in relationships.

About Group Sessions

All Changing Ways groups require an intake interview and a commitment to attend all of the sessions.

We offer separate groups for those who identify as men and women, with an average 12 participants at a time.

Growth Circle for Women

Relationships are an important part of leading a healthy and fulfilling life. Learn how to eliminate violence and abuse to have more fulfilling relationships with less conflict.

This 14-week program dives into the experience of domestic abuse.

Each group is approximately two hours long and includes experiential learning that allows participants to connect with the facilitator and each other.

  • Book a time to come in and talk.

Intake

  • Don't worry, it's nothing big!
  • It's just a talk to find out where you are at.
  • It's a chance for you to learn more about our programs and see what will be the best fit for you.

  • Whether you are meeting by Zoom or in person, our facilitators and program coordinator are here for you.
  • Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask for help.

  • Participating in groups can be hard.
  • Practice self-care.
  • Be patient, but know that you can do it!

The Finish Line

  • If you attend the required number of sessions, you will receive your certificate.
  • Our program coordinator will follow up and see how we can help with your next steps.

All of our groups have the option to attend virtually.

We understand that life happens. If you reach out to your facilitators and your support worker, we can work together to come up with a plan to help you complete the group.

You can register for a group at any time -  intakes are ongoing all year.

Groups run weekly for two hours. They are offered in the City of Camrose with an option to attend online.
